Why we updated the recipe
The original Malai is whipped light and airy, which feels beautiful on the skin - but it's sensitive to temperature. In warm weather or after a hot delivery, it can soften and deflate, and it doesn't always whip back up. The new formula fixes that.
What's different in the new Malai:
- More heat-stable - it holds its texture through temperature changes, so it arrives the way it left us
- Less whipped - a denser, richer cream rather than a fluffy one
- Beeswax - helps the balm keep its structure and adds a protective layer that seals in moisture
- Calendula - a classic botanical for calming irritated skin
- German chamomile - soothing and gentle on reactive skin
